ABOUT ME:

I am a very easy going person, movie and music lover. The epiphany moment I have at the moment is while eating some rye bread sprinkled with caraway seeds and a cup of tea, taking easy, really... it has been a hard day, a hard year actually. I miss the person I was last year. Now, most of the times I am blue. My daughter has been diagnosed BP, she is just 15 years old... while she has come to embrace her illness without much qualms, I am slowly digesting it all the while filing my claws ready to fight the public school system. I have found, in matter of just months, how hard it is to get the services and accomodations for a BP child, the bias and all that rotten actitue that is making our lives impossible...talk about handling stress!! Shame the school system that makes it even more stressful to accomodate a child with disabilities, for all they can think of, is about getting tough in their policies about safety issues and not about the needs of a child. I desperately seek advice, some one to tell me that everything will be Ok, that the statistics of suicide in BP childs are just that.. cruel numbers that reflect faceless strangers that left behind those who desperately loved them; parents, siblings, friends, relative that love them but that they never knew how to reach out and let them know it. There is no BP history in our families, with exception of the "weird auntie" ( a joke ), we are pretty much still in the woods...
