I am a happy and healthy person with a beautiful wife and an amazing 4 year old boy!

  I feel I have always had headaches more frequently than the "average person" but not to the extent that I suffer now.  My neurologist said I am a little complicated.  The reason being is that I have something called Cerebral Cavernous Malformations or CCMs (see www.angiomaalliance.org for info/awareness ) .  Essentially they are vessels in my brain which are prone to bleeding.

  In April 2009 I had life saving emergency brain surgery to remove one of these CCM's that was blocking my left ventricle.  In short, after my recovery and the headaches from brain surgery passed the migraines began.

  After a consult with a neuro I was put on topomax, it worked to slightly reduce the migraines.  Recently (may 24) we decided to wean off the topomax to see how I am off meds.  The side effects of weight loss and fatigue were a little too much for me.

 I believe that I will fair well off the meds and look forward to getting some energy back and having a clear head, it's been a while.
