HEALTH INTERESTS:

Have had migraines for years,  Had a "pons" stroke last year due to migraines,  I get the aura,  droopy eye,  slurred speech ...."the woiks!" Peripheral vision in left eye permanently damaged. Less arm was weaker after stroke but is almost back to normal now. CT scans also show white "dots" in my brain...similar to those seen in multiple sclerosis or Alzheimer's

DRUGS I AM TAKING:

Topamax 300 mg. daily,  Axert at onset of headache,  Fiorinal C for those real "head-banger" headaches.prochlorperazine for nausea when it's really bad,  otherwise gravol. I use one of those cold patches (designed for peoples back) on my forehead. I just cut off a strip,  remove the backing and it offers some relief.

ABOUT ME:

I have a wonderful husband and two pets who put up with all this. (I also have Crohn's Disease).  I am a graphic artist by trade but retired several years ago for health reasons.  I enloy painting, sketching. almost any kind of music and enjoy gardening. I also do volunteer work, visiting and writing to seniors when I can. Our lives are pretty simple and we like it that way.
