I was diagnosed with Grade 3 Breast Cancer last October, which was a huge shock as you can imagine.  I had a mastectomy in November and started 6 months of chemotherapy in December, which i finished on June 5th this year.  I am at present taking Tamoxifen...and have to for the next 5 years.  I was due to undergo reconstructive surgery this year, but at the moment I dont feel well enough to go through it..so I posponed it until sometime in the New year.  I have to say the surgery wasnt pleasant, but I found the chemotherapy the most difficult thing to have ever gone through.  I felt totally drained all though it, and am feeling the same on my Tamoxifen.  My dad is terminally ill with prostate cancer which has made my illness harder to handle...as right now I am the one that should be there for my Dad.  He insisted on having his chemo days changed to the same as mine so he could introduce me to the nurses and tell them to look after me...I am proud to have him as my Dad. x
