ABOUT ME:

I am a chronic pain patient who also happens to be an addict. I was a recovering addict and had been clean for many, many years, but after my chronic pain began, and due to all of the opiates I have tried/been prescribed for it, it was very easy to become an active opiate addict. I met my soul mate in 2004, and thanks to his amazing & loving "pushes", I returned to school 4 years ago and completed all classes needed to become a substance abuse counselor. I have worked on websites helping others as well as opened my own forums to help those on methadone or suboxone for addiction. I decided that I would love to simply join another's website where I am the "patient" instead of the person helping. This is new to me, but I am very excited that I found this site!! I am a mother of 4 girls, three which are identical triplets, and I am engaged to my soul-mate, which I met when I was 44 years old (5 years ago). I am really looking forward to meeting others here.
