I am a lady here in the UK that has suffered for years, as far back as I can remeber. I am a young looking 43 year old, and most people assume I am in my early thirties, I feel, because of my euphoric elated manic ways when I am high, the lows are a different story however! I am a compassionate person, and have looked into spiritual paths, Buddism for example, to help ground me, and to weather the storms when they come, and rejoice in the good days (they are out there!). I ahve enormouse compassion for others, more so, than myself, and feel very sad for those who moke me and others, who share and have to live with mental illness. This is still a huge problem! I have held fabulous careers, in media, advertising, and am now self employed working from home as I cannot comply to an office enviorionment due to being Bipolar. I have lost out in relationships, often, I select men that are distant, and a challenge I can never address, almost as a punishment for carrying this disorder, and the disruption it causes. I am a complicated personality, hence, I choose a lifestyle that matches this. I live alone, along with my beautiful cat Hamish, (pets are wonderful arn't they!!!) and have good friends, some family are supportive, some arn't. I try my best to get along the best I can, and am totaly thankful for sites like these. It seems you get a lot more support in the US and taboos are lessened by a healthier approach to mental health? This is the first time I have approached a site like this, and it is great to share our hopes and fears together xPHOTOS:
