ABOUT ME:
Mom died of BC when I was 15. I was diagnosed BC at 40 with stage IIB breast cancer (triple neg), 2.2cm lump, in the lymph nodes as well. I saw great doctors, went through the ringer with treatment, but so far so good. Scans for the past year are clean.
When I first felt the lump my gyn told me it was nothing and wouldn't write me a script for a mammo. At the time my daughter was 4 yrs old and I refused to let history repeat so I and wouldnt leave office until I got a script for an MRI and a mammo. which he finally gave me.
My advice to all women that are worried about a newly found lump...Dont hesitate get it checked out, and if you feel that something is wrong, it very well could be. The worse thing that could happen about getting a mammo early is that you spend your money on the gas to get there. But if it is something, you can feel better about getting it taken care of early and not regretting anything later.
