ABOUT ME:

I've always had urinary incontinence which has gotten worse with age. I never knew the cause until I had a cystoscopy in my thirties after a bad case of prostatitis and the doctor said there was a deformity of the urethra. I use disposables with plastic pants for extra security. I prefer cloth, but I feel they would be noticeably bulky. I am in my fifties, have older kids, one who is a senior in college. I have a daughter with spina bifida who is also incontinent and uses catheters. Nobody in my family gives much thought to my bladder problems and I refuse to go to all the trouble to hide the fact that I have a problem. If a person becomes my friend they will eventually find out but I don't flaunt it or make a point of sharing it right off the bat.
