I have had migraines for as long as I have memories. When they come during the day, I have aura and can take something to prevent them. However, most of them come while I'm asleep and I wake up in great pain and already extremely nauseous. I see a migraine specialist who has me on 100mg Lyrica 3 times a day. This has put me from 3-4 migraines a week, to 3-4 migraines a month. I also take Treximet as an abortive. This is only possible because I have a job with benefits. If I lose the job (which seems to be in the cards) I lose the prescriptions. All she wrote, end of story.PHOTOS:
