Absorbent Product Design

Do manufacturers and resellers of absorbent incontinence products ever participate in forums such as these? If so they might learn a thing or two about helpful design elements to their products. For example, recently I decided to try a different brand of a more absorbent beltless undergarment. The product was shrink-wrapped (dontcha hate shrink wrap sometimes) very compactly in several bags of 12 pieces rather than a more convenient 24 or...

Travel Tip

A good way to carry an extra absorbent pad or liner on an airplane flight might be to insert it in a zip lock bag with a soft pack of wet wipes/baby wipes inserted at the front of the bag. I usually go through airport security with crutches, leg braces, and often a foldable wheelchair, and such a carry on usually fits in a cargo pants pocket or jacket pocket. Sometimes the security workers will pat me down and I explain that it is just extra...

Some Hidden Costs of Cheap Incontinence Products

A couple months ago I was happy to find some pads (belted undergarments) that were nicely priced at less than 50 cents per pad. However, they were the kind that had that textured inner plastic strip from front to back that seem similar to the webbing in those foldable lounge chairs you take to the beach (to provide better form and structure I suppose). They worked out ok (I am incontinent braces due to spina bifida, with crutches and braces)...

Cranberry Juice

I thought I'd initiate a topic I've been vaguelyfamiliar with and curious about for quite some time. I know that cranberries are supposedly helpful for fighting bladder infections, especially for those people with spina bifida, like myself or otherswith spinal chord paralysis. My question is, what is the best way to take them? Some cranberry extract supplements have vitamin C added, others do not. The juice cans and dried cranberries on...
