ABOUT ME:

I am 54 yrs old, single, and was (prior to my most recent diagnosis of breast cancer metatastis disease), a marketing professional. I am fun loving and a friend to all four legged creatures. My first diagnosis of breast cancer came in 6/2006. One lumpectomy and lymph node(s) removal, four chemo treatments, and thirty radiation sessions later, I thought I had won the battle. Thank goodness my Internal Medicine Doc LISTENED to me as I had been experiencing some tingling in my head and numbness down my arm. He ordered a head scan. Low and behold...two "suspicious spots" showed up. My Oncologist immediately ordered a complete bone scan which showed metastatic disease in my skull, septum and lower lumbar. Now I take each day one at a time and try (hard) to concentrate on the good things in life. Life gifts that(prior to diagnosis) "busy me" took for granted. I now live on HOPE and FAITH. The cancer may take my life but cannot take away those two essential ingredients for peace of mind and happiness. One day at a time...
