I was on the receiving end of four auto accidents between 1992 and 1998, resulting in a myriad of damage, including a double break in the bottom ring of my pelvis, neck damage, a closed head injury, and resulting DDD. After the initial accident, I taught myself to carve wood in order to have something to do. It was something I had always wanted to to and never had the time for...so I guess something good comes out of everything. Over the years, I have moved from wood to stone, which, believe it or not, is easier to carve. Recently, due to worsening joint pain, I have begun to explore the possibilities of clay.I live in Charleston, SC, with my non-traditional family, for whom I am very grateful. I am just beginning to seek out shows and venues in which to show my art.
