I know, the list of ca 24 meds listed above is unbelievable. However, beyond the depression, I am also dealing with Post Polio Syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder which affects almost every system in the body. I have had 3 major spinal surgeries in the past 7 months. I have also had my ankle stabilized and fused twice, had a total knee replacement, have had surgery on my right hand tendons which has failed. Had one surgery where I had my knee arthroscoped and had my gall bladder removed and my liver biopsied all in the same operation! My vision is essentially gone (something they call "lenticular translocation" or sometyhing like that), my teeth are falling out after all molars have had root canals, have Sleep Apnea (on CPAP), Restless Leg syndrome and Narcolepsy, have failed stress test and had resulting arteriogram, marginal results), have failed a mammogram and had resulting needle biopsy (results OK), had one surgery postponed because lab results showed significant anemia with resulting Upper GI and Colonoscopy and Sonogram, Have nodules on one lung (EDS) and followed with monthly chest x-rays and CTs, no change, have the usual "seasonal rhinitis", Migraines controlled by estradial/ Prometrium. And most of these meds are on a daily basis, some as many as 5/day. My ex-husband callculated the total around $40,000/year for the meds.And I am in a Body Brace for the next 6 weeks.PHOTOS:
