plaquenil,  arava,  remicade,  and various other drugs for blood pressure and other physical problems

ABOUT ME:

I was first dx with RA in 1976. Since then it's been a rollar coaster ride. From being told that the way it was progressing in 1977 I'd be completly cripled within 2 years to having another doctor tell me he didn't think I had RA and then 4 months later the same doctor telling me that he thought I'd do well on Remicade. My new doctor checked my RA factor and it was at 225 said the other doctor didn't know his head from a hole in the ground. Had a lot of problems with the RA in the 70's & 80's the 90's were mixed and I've been doing great in the 2000's even though we have had to go from 400 mg of remicade every 8 weeks to the current 600 mg every 6 wks. I don't know what the future holds in store since I have developed chronic kidney disease and am at stage 3 right now. My doctor called me last night concerned that my creatine had raised and my potassim had dropped again. I will take things in stride each day as they happen and keep on keeping on.
