I am a few months shy of my 32nd birthday, diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 11/04/2009. Pathology report says HER2+, not a great thing i guess...:(...hoping Herceptin will save the day!!! Trying to keep my chin up!!!!! ******************************* Dec 31 2009 Joined a clinical trial for early stage Her+ve cancers. Weekly herceptin infusions, daily lapatinib and letrozole, goserelin injections once a month. Tumor has shrunk considerably...hoping the trial gives good results..:). The tumor is 7cm * 4cm ***** March 31 2010 The trial cleared all my lymph nodes of the cancer. The tumor now 7mm in the greatest dimension @ the lumpectomy. Will start chemo followed by radiation. ******* April 19th..first infusion of TCH...total 6 cycles..followed by 6.5 weeks of daily radiation and 5 years of Tamoxifen*************Oct21st , last radiation, radiation was a breeze, no burns, just some skin darkening...and no fatigue...yay!!!, two more Herceptin infusions to go, no periods yet, dunno if I am still fertile,never awaited the red tide this desperately.
