Path report in....

So the path report is in..first the good news...no cancer in axillary lymph nodes any more..even the lymph node that tested positive in a previous biospy came back negative...0/8 lymph nodes clear.   No malignancy in the lymph fluids or the surrounding blood vessels   Clear margins, the tumor is all out.   The not so good... Read moreChevron

Awaiting path report

back home from the hospital after the surgery..not as painful as I had thought it would be..:) .. The lymph drain sounded scary..but isnt very bad ..just a minor inconvenience   happy about spring..happy about the birds tweeting in the garden again...anxious, very very anxious about the pathology report..keeping my fingers crossed..

So, phase one of my treatment ie the clinical trial is nearing its end. The last shot of Herceptin will be on 03/19. Got an MRI on 03/10, there is a  1cm * 1cm * 0.7 cm mass left, but the report says there is marked structural and kinetic improvements. Today is a big day for me, I can no longer feel my tumor;for the first time since 10/23/2009, my breast tissue is back to normal; and all this without a single incision (I am not counting the biopsy scars) or a single chemo treatment. May be I am not cancer free yet, and I do know it is too early to celebrate,but atleast I cannot feel... Read moreChevron
