I was 49 yrs old when I was diagnosed with breast cancer,I had extensive ductal carcinoma in-situ in the right breast. Due to the fact that I also have diabetes and many other health issues, I chose to have a double mastectomy with reconstruction right after surgery. The doctors were able to get all of the cancer, now I am facing 18 month of reconstruction and recovery. But I am very greatful for the out come, because I know it could have been a lot worst. I have a beautiful daughter with 2 wonderful little grand-son who keep me laughing all the time. Children are wonderful so innocent. And after 18yrs of marriage, and 15yrs of being divorced, I finaly found the man of my dreams. Happy to say we are facing this challenge together. Now 2 years and counting after BC, we are married and enjoying the life we have in our new home.
