Another in the family

I received an email the other day from a "step-niece." Although she is not a flesh and bone, blood relative, my heart cried as she asked me if her symptoms warranted being tested for RA. I shook with disbelief. She is in her early 20's newly married and full of joy of life. She has been hiding her symptoms from her family and says her partner is kinda tired of her whining. Oh how my heart cried!!! Especially...

Hi all,

Just a short note to pop in and share some love!!! Don't think I don't miss you guys or don't think about ya. I do every day. I do get to keep up with one or two of you on the dreaded FB.

Have been having my ups and downs like some kind of rollercoaster lately. I am coming into a year of dealing with crap created by a "fix." I have fired my ortho and I am on the search for a really good...

Hello to all

Hi guys, just wanted to poke my head in and say hi.

I am doing ok. All is completely the same physically. I completely apologize for not being on the site. Depression/frustration has kept me from being very upbeat and I didn't want to spread negativity.

Had my MRI done. 2 bulged discs and 4 bone spurs. That still does not completely answer what is going on with the SI nerve. I will have...

A new doctor

Just wanted to say hi and that I am still around. I have made the decision to consoladate my doctors and get everyone on the same page. I am doing this by seeing a new GP tomorrow. He is a recommended Palliative Care Physician and internalist.
Any of you who eyeball me on facebook know that I have been on a rollercoaster of emotions. But I hope to get off the ride and join the living soon.

Talk to ya...

Have had it up to my eyeballs!!!

Alrighty, I give up.

I couldn't afford the MRI that Dr Pookyface orders because they wanted 1300 up front. That just isn't happening anytime soon as Karen and I reside in the poor house. The spinal xrays my GP ordered showed nothing but she believes (as does my rheumy) that I have nerve and SI Joint damage. While all 3 docs agree, I have major issues and pain, not a freaking one of them will give me anything more...

In Never Never Land

Sorry I have not been online very much lately. My new docs have me running circles. Although I have internet on my phone, it blocks me from answering questions and from creating a sharepost.

Went to see a new Rheumy last week. He was the most thorough rheumy I have ever met. He spent and entire hour and a half with me, going over my entire life with RA history as well as doing a thorough exam and mobility...

Hi Guys!

I know I have not been online very much lately. I am well. Walking better, feeling better but still at the 2 month mark do not have much feeling in the leg. But Karen says I am moving a lot faster nowadays.

Health Check: Bp still borderline even with the meds. Blood sugar elevated (have taken 2 bloodtests after fasting) and docs are mildly concerned. Have been referred to cardiologist to monitor...

Progress

Just wanted to say HI and let you guys know, I am doing okay a month and 10 days after replacement.

For the record, no I am not healed yet, as I myself would hope and actually question. I am walking around the house more without my walker or crutches. But I do not dare venture out of the house without something.

Pain wise, I dunno if I see much of a difference so far. My hip and booty are still a...

Yesterday I cried.

Okay, I take that back. Yesterday, I sobbed! And no it wasn't because of the pain, I cannot get under control. It wasn't because I was feeling sorry for myself. It wasn't because I was having a hard time controlling pain related depression. Yesterday, like many days out of the year, I mourned.

Okay, I will take that back too. I sobbed for all of the above reasons and then some. And yes, I...
