ABOUT ME:

I am 35 and have been married for the past 10 years to the most amazing,most understanding and supportive man in the world. Together we have 3 great boys - Michael (our oldest) who will be 6 in November and our twins, Andrew and John Paul (J.P.) who just celebrated their third birthday. I had my left shoulder re-replaced in Jan. `08 and am currently suffering complications due to the surgery (Adhesive Capsulitis). To get me to forget about the severe pain occuing in my shoulder, my right hip has decided to act up and it now needs to be re-replaced ASAP. However, like all of you, I continue to fight thisincredibly debilitating disease because I do want to be a good mother, a good wife and a good teacher. But, most importantly, I want to be there for me. I need to make myself better for just me and then I can be better for everyone else. I love running which is not a typical sport for someone with RA, but it makes me happy. I also teach gr. 7é8 special education and Ilove to spend time with my husband and children. I would love to one day not have to take any meds, but in reality - I`d even settle for just taking 1 a day. I am just sick and tired of being sick and tired! To all of you out there - it is comforting to know that we all UNDERSTAND WHAT EACH OTHER IS GOING THROUGH - SOMETHING EVEN OUR LOVED ONES MAY NOT DO FULLY. I am grateful for sites like this one. I know I never have to pre-empt a story.
