I am a nutritionist and mother of three girls.   Two of my daughters have dealt with acid reflux disease.  I also have many friends who have dealt with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Harding University and graduate work in Public Health Nutrition through Eastern Kentucky University. In addition to blogging for Health Central I am also the Volunteer Services Coordinator for the Pediatric Adolescent Gastroesophageal Reflux Association.

The passion I have for families dealing with GI issues comes directly from my own struggles.  People need to be empowered to make appropriate choices for their health and that only comes when they are able to obtain accurate information.  It is also important for families to know that they are not alone and that there are many of us who have also been through these issues and survived.  I hope my educational and "hands on" experience can serve to help families currently dealing with GI disease.

I currently live in small town Arkansas with my wonderful husband and three beautiful daughters.
