Retired adult clinical neurologist. Developed an interest in sleep disorders neurology and discovered I had obstructive sleep apnea. It took four years to get it under control (today it can be done in 24 hours). Wrote a book on obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) for patients and families entitled, "Deadly Sleep." Is Your Sleep Killing You? My father died at 85 from complications of Alzheimer's Disease. He was diagnosed with OSA in the mid 1980's, but refused treatment.

My first pediatric patient during neurology residency, was an autistic child that I will never forget. "What in the world could do this to a childs brain?" is a question that has haunted me ever since (now, I think I know).
