ABOUT ME:

 

I am 44 and a wife and mom of two kids.Soon to be a Grand Mom! I learned I have RA in Feb 2008. I have learned so much since then about RA and how to deal with all this pain. Thanks to this site and everyone in the group I am not alone. :) I have always been able to do everything that is needed to get done around my house. I took care of everyone in my house, but now I find I can no longer do so. I need help with everyday things.I use to take Methotrexate, but I started with a cough and had bearthing problems. So now I am now taking Leflunomide and Celebrex. This treatment is not enough for me so my RA doc is going to go at this more aggressive with Remecade. The problem with that is INSURANCE! Or more like the lack of it. So like many I am seeking help so I can get those shots or IV's to help me. Walking better for me. My worse joints that are affected are, elbows, wrist, fingers, lower back, knees, and feet.. Like so many of you the pain is unreal. I find sleeping is very hard to do where you are waking up with so much pain all you can do is cry.. I am hopeful my doctor will find the right treatment for me.
