ABOUT ME:

I have been a migraine sufferer since I was 9 years old. My father and his mother had them as well. now my son who is now 9 is developing them too. I had a stroke at 29 from a complicated migraine and now have lost my vision in my periphiral. I have been diagnosed with severe migraines which borderline strokes. I have tried many different meds over the years, imitrex, imitrex shots, percocet, treximet, amerge, fioricite, elavil, skelaxin. I feel I am on the right meds now as they have decreased in severity but not really length. they will last 3 to 5 days and I am journaling to try and figure out triggers which I found cheese, chocolate and alcohol top triggers as well as caffeine...I have stayed away from these things. I get tension/stress migraines as well, but find it hard to control stress levels. well, thats about it!
