ABOUT ME:

Hello, My name is Jennifer. I am 28 years old and brand new to this site. I was born with Spina Bifida, and although it is a mild form of it the struggles are still hard to deal with sometimes. Due to vast complications from many surgeries, and the spina bifida itself I am disabled. Every time I have the urge to urinate I must use a catheter. Then sometimes when I don't feel anything at all I just look down and realize that I am wet. It is very frustrating when this happens. I told my urologist who is a wonderful doctor, and he suggested that I star adhering to a strict schedule of restroom usage... which I have, but it has made no change in the frequency of the accidents. I also have tried MANY of the meds. prescribed for overactive bladder, but they don't seem to make any difference either. If any one has any suggestions for me I would really love to hear them or just talk to others who can understand what I have been going through. I think having a place like this to share is so cool!
