Jay Motola, M.D., F.A.C.S. has been practicing general urology since 1992. He has particular interests in female urology, urologic oncology, minimally invasive urology, urinary incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. He is the director of Urologic Oncology at Putnam Hospital (Carmel, NY). He is an attending physician in the Department of Urology at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York.
From 1999-2005 he served as the chairman of the department of Surgery at Putnam Hospital. He is the author of numerous articles in professional peer reviewed journals. He is currently investigating the use of LH/RH agonists in the treatment of advanced prostate cancer, and a novel new treatment for bladder cancer. He is a member of numerous professional organizations including the American Urogical Association, Endourology Society, American Medical Association and the Medical Society of the State of New York. He presently serves on the Board of Directors for the NY section of the American Urological Association as well being a member of the Health Policy Council and Practice Management Committees of the American Urological Association He was previously a member of the Young Urologist Committee of the American Urological Association.
