Hi, I believe that I should always be doing beyond the best I can possibly do in anything I do. I was born legally blind, but was barely miraculously able to drive by the time I was 22. I then became an RN for 10 years. My vision spiraled down back into being legally blind about 7 years ago, and I right away went back to school and became a medical transcriptionist. During the time I was a nurse and even when I first started on this site, I wasn't diagnosed but the doctors hinted about MS and I was being worked up at the time. I was finally diagnosed with MS in May of 2009, when evoked potentials came back positive along with an MRI that showed gadolinium enhancing active demyelinization, along with 11 lesions. I spend my free time watching medical shows, drawing, and writing poetry. Of course, I like shopping too. Some people can't believe my drawings since I am legally blind. They amaze me sometimes when I get all done with one. I am amzed even with myself. If I had to give advice to someone, I would say keep doing what you enjoy and, no matter what, strive for the best you can be. Don't let anything defeat you. I don't. Life is too short and you have to work with the tools God gives you. I wish everybody the best of luck and always hang onto the strength that you possess inside of yourself. CWoollyPHOTOS:
