ABOUT ME:

Mom of 2 gorgeous (high maintenance) teenagers - 1 boy and 1 girl. Not yet 40 - but I see it looming. Although I'm looking for work @ the moment, I normally work 2 jobs. My "day job" is working in Contracts/Finance. The 2nd job, because it is based on the # of hours I wish to work, is nice to have for the extra money. Between the jobs and on-line classes (8 or so classes left for Bachelor's!), I tend to be a slug on the weekends. Of course, the medications don't exactly contribute to an abundance of energy, which I find very irritating. I've had IC for 9 1/2 yrs and as is standard w/ IC, have tried numerous treatments. Most of my pain is controlled w/ the meds, yet that ever-popular side effect, fatigue, is a constant battle. I had blood work done recently and although I knew I didn't have "issues", I was actually HOPING, I had some type of thyroid "thing", which could be treated. I used to be a dynamo - always on the move. Now I have to force it/fake it. My weekends are sacred! I love watching old movies (B&W's, classics such as 12 Angry Men, Murder on the Orient Express, Sorry, Wrong Number, etc.) I think the GPS and the iPOD are the 2 greatest inventions of my lifetime! Would have been nice to have an MP3 player in the 80s!
