ABOUT ME:

I have had RA since i was four and i am 24 now. my mom thinks i got it when i fell and scraped up my knees in a snowstorm. I don't know, I don't care, I cope. Most of the time i have little to no symptoms. I have flare ups every 6-8 years and they are very bad. Last time i had a flare up, i also got mono at the same time, and i couldn't walk without crutches, and i had pain in every part of my body. I was taking so many pills and for 3 months i wondered if i would die. I even asked god, "why would this happen now, right when im finishing high-school and getting ready to contribute to society?" However, all of a sudden i began to feel better. within a year the swelling and pain disappeared completely. I was fine for the last 9 years, during which i completed college, got married, bought a house and got a great job. Now its back, and my knees are killing me. However, i am back on hydroxycholoquine and i am trying to stay positive.
