I am married and we have 3 teenage sons, who are 14, 16, and 18. My husband and I are both disabled, which creates its own set of problems. I have fibro, spondylolythesis, DDD, several bulging disks, sciatia, and the list goes on and on! I have had one back surgery involving a fusion at L5-S1, with instrumentation, and decompression of the spinal cord. I got 6 months of relief, and I'm now worse than I was before. The doctor says that I need more surger, but for the time being, I'm passing on it. I also have to have a dual knee replacement soon. My husband has a genetic condition called spino-cerebellar ataxia, which is a progressive illness dealing with the deterioration of the cerebellum. He is confined to a wheel chair. I'm interested in getting to know people dealing with similar issues, and trying to find the small moments that I can take humor in.
