I'm a 40-something psychologist who is relatively new to the world of migraine and chronic headaches. I've suffered periodic severe headaches since early adolescence that have always been diagnosed as sinus-related until last summer when I got The Headache that lasted almost 3 months, at which time I was diagnosed with migraine and CDH. Since then, the quality, frequency, and intensity of my headaches has changed, and it feels like the wiring in my brain has gone haywire. I located a headache specialist early on and have made some progress, but am still working to find the best preventative regimen.So, other than being a migraneur, I have a challenging career as a forensic and clinical psychologist and a wonderful boyfriend. I used to exercise a lot, but the headaches have cut that back considerably. I don't have many hobbies, as much of my not-too plentiful spare time is spent socializing with friends, or just trying to rest up. I have a miniature poodle, Zippy, who is also getting up in years, but has no problem living up to his name. He is pictured here in his best Hawaiian attire :-)
