I am a 76 yearold man who had radical prostate surgery in 1992. I had a rising PSA (8) in 2001 and finally underwent a orkeectomy ? . In jan 2009 my psa rose to 8.5. Two weeks later 12.5. Two weeks later 14.0. Eight weeks later psa 20. All tests scans and cts are negative.
What is your best guess?
I had a radical prostitecomy in 2000. I had radiation afterwards and then when my psa started to increase again I started taking Lupron injections for about 6 years at the rate of one one every three months. The oncologist told me that I could no longer take the injections. They only work for a certen period of time. Recently I had x-rays to my lumbar area and they found a spot on my spine. I had a cat scan and it evealed two more spots. Now I'm scheduled for a bone scan. I want to know if prosate cancer spreads to the bone. Also after al this time my PSA is up again. Not much but enough that im worried with all the other going on. I am 70 years old. Feeling very tired and weak.
