One of my uncles had prostate cancer since 10 years ago; he was afraid to undertake surgery, so he didn't although doctor insisted on doing it. However the point I mentioned is that my uncles was thin (normal weight); was physically active; he didn't smoke, but occasionally drinked one small glass of alcohol. So, I don't think weight can make much difference or what???
And had biopsy done, results were cancer of prostate and bladder..The urologist told me my options were to remove my prostate...I also have a Embilical Hernia...I have requested to have this repaired many times, but was told unless it was giving me problems, don't worry about it..looks like maybe Im gonna get the bellybutton issue resolved, huh ? My diabetes is under control for past 10 yrs,HBP usually under control...another problem is after the biopsy,I have had this urgency to urinate and I mean...urgent..biopsy was done 7 months ago...will I ever regain control again ? And if I under go the surgery to remove prostate and bladder, will a quality of life be worth it ? I mean I donot want to die...of cancer or anything else, not just yet...But just wait and see approach....Im concerned about my girlfriend,Is there any chance of me giving her cancer ? After not having sex for a while,we are now having lots of it ...Im feeling unsure about another biopsy or a surgery....If I do nothing I may out live the prostate cancer, but the bladder cancer Im not sure about....Any comments would be greatly appreciated...Thank You Doctor........TWLyons
