    Hello Jonley,

I am not a doctor, but there are some excellent references online here that might help you understand a little better what your doctor has proposed. Now, online information is not meant to take the place of a doctor's advice, but will help you ask all the right questions when you see your doctor, so that together you can make a plan for your treatment and care that works for you.

Here is a link that explains the causes of HBP, and the treatments for BPH on Health Central. While I don't see alot about Memokath Stents, I do see information for these procedures.

I hope you find this helpful. Please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!
