PROSTATE MASSAGE

Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 11:09 PMThe term "MASSAGE" conjurs up thoughts of soft music and scented candles--not so in this case..Yes, it can HURT but drainig did help to clear up prostate infection/prostititus for a while for me. My dad used to go to the urologist once a seek for months and later on I learned this procedure was why-- then there were no drugs to help and TURP was the only option, which he eventually did have. Yes, it is mortifying to be in the Massage paosition for having this but I do think it actualy helped my situation at the itme I had it done.

Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 08:53 PMHi-- although there are prostate massager "tools" available (see ebay) I don' know anyone who has ever used one of them..My urologist did my massage, or DRAINING (miolking you called it)-- He takes a lubricated, gloved finger and puts it up your backside, like a Digital Rectal Exam (DRE) for a prostate exam only instead of the typically fast feel around exam and then it is over, the finger pushed down with some intense force along the different sides of the prostate that can be felt--This caused prostatic fluid that is possibly trapped to be expelled, (You might drip on the front side out your penis) Sometimes you hold a cup to catch the fluid that is then analyzed for infection or in my case because I had prostate surgery (TURP) retrograde ejaculation happens and the fluid backs up or "ejaculates backwards internally" into your bladder. You then urinate a little and the prostate fluid comes out in that urine for analysis., The "massage" was not excrutiatingly painful and I DID get better after it was over along with a prescription for some antibiotics-- Hope this helps...If you need to have this done, don't hesitate to do it as it could help you. I felt some better by the next day....
Good Luck

Monday, May 21, 2007 at 06:50 AMI was raised on a farm so you can just guess what I thought about "milking" then a cop 30 years so I'm way out there past left field.
So the next question becomes what, where, when and who?
Can someone update me? Can I post more questions on a personal level?

pain in rectum in and around and perhaps of prostate

Monday, July 23, 2007 at 07:33 PMi had a vigorous examination of my prostate this three days ago. TODAY, i have inflammatory kind of pain in the prostate area or of this gland. Hot baths did little to ameliorate the pain. I think, I'll take a round of antiobiotic which I didn't complete after dental work last month. What's good for the mouth may be good for the lower parts................

Wednesday, January 09, 2008 at 03:00 AMHad prostate pains for years. Severe prostatitis was diagnosed during a DRE. Nothing helped. The MD said I wasn't getting enough sex. However, after a painful virtual colonoscopy due to my colon health concerns--where a tube is rectally placed--I noticed that all pains had suddenly stopped! The reading of the virtual colonoscopy was that I had no colon problems, but that I had "stones" in my prostate. Somehow the painful pressure on the prostate, for the gas tube insertion, ended the pains by possibly rearranging these stones.
