My dad was screened in his 50s, and at age 59 was told he needed a biopsy, which found it had started to spread to nearby lymph nodes. He went into surgury and takes hormones to keep things under control. He appeared totally healthy-- went to the gym, looked 10 years younger than he really was, but he had this huge health risk that wouldn't have been discovered until later if he hadn't been screened in his 50s!
