Hi Buldog,
Please do stay in touch and let us know what the doctor says. Hopefully whatever you are experiencing is a minor issue that can be corrected easily. Do let us know tho, because there could be someone out there experiencing the same thing as you and your experiences will go far in helping others.
Thanks and take care!! Stay in touch.

Hi Bulldog,
That's good. If the doctor is not concerned yet, no need for you to be. Let us know how the visit on the 1st comes out.
There is a good section here about psa testing and how the numbers work. Dr Jay Motola also wrote a good sharepost here about what a normal PSA is and factors that can alter it. Also Dr Marc Greenstein wrote an article about PSA Velocity and what it means when PSA numbers rise quickly. You can read that article here.
This will give you some good information to go on in case you have questions when you see the doctor on the 1st. Remember the psa numbers can fluctuate according to age and other medical conditions.
Take care Bulldog and make sure to let us know how you make out!

Hi Buldog,
I am sorry you did not get a response to your question, but the last question I saw from you was July 2007?
You asked "For the past year i have experianced excessive abdominal pain upon ejaculation causing uncontrolable leg withdrall and forcing a near fetal position. this stops upon completion and no after effects remain. "
Online advice can never replace the advice of your doctor, and hopefully you are seeing a doctor, either your general practitioner or a urologist. I can point you in the direction of a few links to information that will help you when it's time to speak to your doctor about what is going on with you.
First of all, it might help you to read a little about the prostate. What it does, what happens when it is enlarged, infected or otherwise compromised. You can read an overview here. Then, if you are experiencing symptoms of a possible problem, you can check them here in the symptoms database. Once you have seen your doctor if you've been prescribed medication, you can check those here in the drugs database. Then when you and your doctor decide on a method of treatment, you can read about that and the alternatives here in the treatments database.
I have seen a couple posts indicating that painful ejaculation could be a symptom of prostatitis. Dr Marc Greenstein talks about radical surgery to correct the condition and lists painful ejaculation as a possible symptom. You can read that post here. You can also read Dr Greenstein's other postings here.
There is a member here named Gromitsprinkles that had an issue that started with an e-coli infection in the prostate. He underwent the Greenlight procedure. You can read the posting and the replies here. There is an article written by Dr. Jay Motola, one of the resident experts here, about the Greenlight procedure. You can read about that here.
There is also a testosterone called Striant Bucl that lists painful ejaculation as a possible symptom/side effect. I don't know if you are taking this drug but you can read the entire informative article here.
I hope this information is useful to you. It's kind of difficult to know which direction to point you knowing so little about your current situation. Remember, I am not a doctor and this information is only useful to you in talking with your doctor and managing your care. Only you and your doctor know what is best for you!
Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing.
