When diagnosed with PC in 2006 and under went a Radical Prostatectomy followed by radiation treatment some 6 months later and had time to reflect back on the 6 months i realised just how relevant were the comments expressed in this article.
After being diagnosed with PC i did a google search on the subject and was astounded at the then lack of information available at that time, but now every one is offering every thing from snake oil to plant cures so it is difficult for any newbee to get the correct information.
So while GP's try to keep us informed they just dont seam to get the whole thing in order to realy help, so they are the first line only in the first stage of PC.
I found the greatest advice only from my Urologist, who did have time to explain the whole concept of PC and treatment options available. The only fault i found was his figures dealing with ED and Incontinence, also leaving out the fact that after a RP one is left with a shortened Penis which makes it difficult to use on's penis to pee normally.
