    I am surprised that the Dr. did not recommend Saw Palmetto (the most prescribed in Germany)or Pygeum Africanum or Beta-Sytosterol or Lycopene, etc..He should start reading about Alternative Medicine. Those drugs that he mentioned are not scientifically proven (like the Vioxx).

    I've tried Flomax for a year but the side effects were too much for me.  My Dr. sampled me a few weeks of Uroxatral which worked great. Unfortunately it is not covered by Blue Cross and there is no generic, yet.
