I am surprised that the Dr. did not recommend Saw Palmetto (the most prescribed in Germany)or Pygeum Africanum or Beta-Sytosterol or Lycopene, etc..He should start reading about Alternative Medicine. Those drugs that he mentioned are not scientifically proven (like the Vioxx).

I've tried Flomax for a year but the side effects were too much for me.  My Dr. sampled me a few weeks of Uroxatral which worked great. Unfortunately it is not covered by Blue Cross and there is no generic, yet.

Early last year, my husband was diagnosed with stage 2 prostate cancer.  He has had radiation treatments, followed by seed implants and placed on Flomax.  From recent searches, we found out that in time this medication could cause many problems and we would like to find a natural alternative. (We will get his Dr's approval before taking the natural supplement)  If you can recommend a product that would help him with urination and bowel movement problems which resulted from the radiation treatments (he never had a problem in this area before), Please contact me via e-mail or give me a call at (305) 229-7961 work days M-F 7:am to 3:30pm.  Our home phone number is (305) 246-2195. Thank you for your kind response to this message.
