Dear Dr. Motola: My urologist wanted me to undergo 24 biopsies because of my enlarged prostate. Since I am not much of a fan of randomized biopsies, much less 24 of them, I found a noted diagnostic radiologist who offered 3D Color Doppler and Ultrasound of my prostate. Fortunately, the test revealed I did not have prostate cancer. If you are interested in learning more about 3D Color Doppler Ultrasound of the prostate, I suggest you contact (via Google) the Prostate Cancer Research Institute (PCRI) for information. Jim O\'Hara coordinates the PCRI website and responds to Helpline calls and emails. He also provided me with the names of several outstanding doctors who perform this service. Apparently, not too many doctors are familiar with 3D Color Doppler Ultrasound of the prostate technique, or even know how to conduct this test. I can\'t thank PCRI and Jim O\'Hara) enough for their help and guidance. If you like, I can send you the name of the diagnostic radiologist who performed the service on me.
