I had a PSA of 1.9 for several years and fortunately had a rectal exam several months ago and found to have Gleason 7 cancer. Had a prostatectomy about a month ago. I am scheduled to have a PSA now and am hopeful it will be 0 but my main concern is that if it didn't reflect prostate CA then, will the PSA reflect metastases? Are there other more specific tests available?

An endocrine specialist saw me today after 3 yrs of PSA levels of 1. She is testing for low hormone levels as I have symptoms of testosterone deficiency. She also found a goiter. I am a 61 year old male.
