Why Would PSA Still Rise after a Prostatectomy?

Dear Dr. Motola, My prostate has been surgically removed and radiation was given out of concern for a slowly rising PSA. definitely get screened early! it may be a lifesaving move

My dad was screened in his 50s, and at age 59 was told he needed a biopsy, which found it had started to spread to nearby lymph nodes.
