I noticed today that when I ejaculated i had some blood in my semen i am a 51 year old man could this be a sign of prostate problems ?

Every time I ejaculate there seems to be blood in my semen. Sometimes it is reddish, sometimes it is brownish. My primary care physician said it is nothing to be worried about.
