Q: My boyfriend notcied blood in his semen 2 days ago after he masterbated.

He asked a friend of his who said he had the same problem and he told him it's because he masterbates too much, my boyfriend is only 18 and it also scares me because we have unprotected sex. Is it normal for him to bleed or is it because he's been masterbating way too much?

Masturbation is not associated with blood in the semen, hematospermia. Most commonly it is associated with an self limiting infection or inflammation of the prostate. If he has other associated ongoing symptoms, he should see a Urologist.

And by the way....unprotected intercourse is a REALLY bad idea!
