Q: Can men with prostate cancer safely take Flomax?

Hi Donald,

 

Thank you for your question. Flomax is commonly used to treat incontinence in men who have undergone radiation therapy for prostate cancer. There is no reported contraindication to using Flomax in men with prostate cancer, though the prescribing information for Flomax does warn doctors to carefully evaluate all patients for the possible presence of cancer.
