In response to:

Prostatitis is not transmitted by sexual activity and you cannot get an infection from your wife if she were to have an infection. Acute prostatitis can commonly be associated with infected urine in the male but not in the female partner. Chronic prostatitis can be associated with low levels of bacteria that remain in the prostate. Prostatitis is a poorly understood disease, however it is not associated with infections that are transmitted from your partner.
