Q: I had radiation for prostate cancer does that really mean I am cured or do I still have it

Unfortunately not all patients who are treated with radiation therapy are cured from their treatment. Post-radiation therapy patients need to be followed with serial PSA determinations. PSA levels will hopefully fall to a nadir (low) PSA and stay at that level. That is the point in time that you would cured. Reply
