Q: my treatment for prostate cancer included lupron,seeds,and beam radiation. after six months my psa was .1, after one year it was 1.8 and after sixteen months 3.4. is it too high for radiation bounce

most numbers I see after a radiation bounce are under 1.5. 3.4 scares me but I do not want to overreact. thank you for your time and consideration. George de

This clearly not radiation bounce. The persistently rising PSA most likely represents residual or recurrent disease. You should seek follow-up with your Urologist for additional recommendations.
