Hi Terry,   There is a great primer on PSA tests, how they are done and what the numbers mean. There is a section here about what is considered a normal PSA and what causes the numbers to elevate. Also what the velocity means. Dr. Jay Motola wrote a good article here called, What is a normal PSA? There are also age considerations to take into account. Dr Marc Greenstein wrote an article here about PSA Velocity and what a quick rise mean. Dr. Greenstein also posted a sharepost about living a normal life with an elevated PSA. You can read that here.  There is also an article about elevated PSA's post surgery. You can read that one here.   Hope this gives you the information you need to ask all the right questions when you see your doctor. Online health sites are great for gathering information about treatments and tests available, but nothing takes the place of your doctor's solid medical advice and care. Take care and stay in touch! Let us know how you are doing. Vicki M
