Hello Erick,   Are you taking the wait and see action at the advice of your doctor or is this something you decided on your own? Online sites are great places to get information so that you are prepared with questions when you speak to your doctor. Online sites are no replacements for your doctor's solid medical advice and care. There is a lot of information here about prostate cancer. What the prostate is and how prostate cancer affects the body. You can read about medicines that are generally prescribed for prostate issues here.   Generally, it is thought that some cancers respond to repression of the male hormones. "Additional treatments to suppress androgen (male hormones) may be helpful in some cases. Unfortunately, even the medical community is divided over the best treatment for localized prostate cancer. No treatment appears to have a clear survival advantage. The choice is often not an easy one, even for experts, for many reasons. " Given that, I am not sure why you would be interested in hormone therapy. The best thing to do is speak to your doctor about alternatives.   I hope this helps somewhat. Take care and please stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!Vicki M
