Doctor doesn't know the cause of blood in semen, what can be done about it?

Due to the blood in my semen, I have had ultrasounds of my prostate, both external and through the rectum. I have had blood tests done. Nothing warned of cancer.

I was on "sulfa" for three weeks, to rule out infection.

I had a cystoscopy, during which vessels in my prostate were cauterized. At the same time, he used a laser to remove strictures in my urethra.

Three weeks later, I still have bright red semen, all of the time. The doctor has me on sulfa again. In two weeks, if nothing has changed, he'll do another cystoscopy.

What are we missing?
